Danum Read Aloud

Winners from class auditions in Y2-Y6 performed their chosen speeches in our school audition assembly this week.

School governors had the very difficult job of judging and choosing an overall winner. Well done to everyone who took part-we were so impressed with their performances and the courage it took to stand up and speak so well in front of the whole school.

After much deliberation, Mr Mitchell (Chair of Governors) announced our winner as Isabellle in Y6 who gave an impassioned Greta Thunberg speech. Well done to Isabelle who will represent Canon Popham at the Danum Read Aloud grand final later this month at Danum Gallery, Library and Museum.
